Peru Bringing Machu Picchu Experience to U.S. Malls This Summer

If you have ever dreamed of visiting the ancient Incan wonder Machu Picchu, you´ll have a chance to get a virtual tour this summer across the U.S.

PROMPERÚ, a division of MINCETUR, is creating an avenue for Peru Specialist graduates to connect with consumers, with an installation in four leading shopping malls across the United States this summer and fall.

The installation will feature a real-scale recreation of the Intihuatana platform of Machu Picchu, with sound and video effects recreating the experience. An interactive screen will showcase leading Peruvian destinations, along with contact information to purchase Peruvian destinations via a display of local Peru Agent Specialist graduates.

Installations will be hosted at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, Va.; Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, N.J.; Beverly Center in Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mall at Wellington Green in Wellington, Fla. The campaign is expected to reach more than 4.5 million individual visitors.
